Funding applications take 6 – 12 months for approval and once received, treatment can commence.

Child Dental Benefits Schedule

The Child Dental Benefit Schedule provides eligible children with access to a benefit of $1000 for eligible dental services over a 2 calendar year period. The CDBS provides individuals benefits for a range of services including examinations, x-rays, cleaning, fissure sealing, fillings, root canals and extractions. Benefits are not available for orthodontics or cosmetic dental work and cannot be paid for any services provided in a hospital. The CDBS is means tested, which requires of Family Tax Benefit Part A or a relevant Australian Government payment. We can confirm your child’s eligibility for the CDBS at the surgery, so give us a call on 97311438 to find out and make an appointment.

Services covered by the Commonwealth Government’s Child Dental Benefits Schedule are bulk billed by participating Practitioners for treatments provided to eligible patients.

Health Insurance

Health insurance is an option that can assist with covering general dental and major dental bills. We can use HICAPS to claim directly with most major health fund providers so our patients have less out-of-pocket costs. We are BUPA and HBF preferred providers – which means even better benefits if you are a member of these funds.

Depending on the health insurance cover you choose, your health fund benefits will vary. Some annual limits apply for some types of treatment, so you should check with your health insurer. We can also use the HICAPS system and your membership card to give you a quote on your treatment plan so that you know exactly what your out-of-pocket costs will be.

Regular Deposits

Our patients can make regular deposits to our bank account which will be held in deposit for for their dental treatment. Putting small amounts away in deposit on a regular basis means the funds are there when you need them.
